Dubai South Free Zone Company License Categories
Commercial Licence
Allows the holder/s to carry out specified commercial services including general trading and logistics services.
Service License
Allows the holder/s to carry out services specified in the License within the Free Zone and elsewhere in the UAE.
Industrial License
Allows the holder/s to carry out specified light manufacturing activities.
Education License
Allows the holder/s to carry out educational and social services, educational aid trainings, and educational consultancy services.
Visa Applications
The number of visas that companies are eligible for is dependent on the office size. Generally, one visa is available for 10 square meters but the issuance of the licenses is treated separately by the DTMFZA and is determined by the business activities being undertaken. Visas take 4-7 working days to be processed but this duration is subject to immigration department’s approvals.
Dubai South Free Zone Company Requirements
- Minimum of 1 director must be appointed.
- General Manager is also a requirement
- Minimum of 1 shareholder
- Minimum of 1 secretary
- Filing of audited accounts once a year
- The required authorized share capital is AED 300,000 per company regardless of how many shareholders are appointed.
- All licenses are subject to leasing a facility within the Dubai South free zone area.
